High-pressure system
- Standard in most households with central hot-water supply (e.g. district heating, central heating system, instantaneous water heater)
- Direct connection of the tap to both cold-and hot-water pipes
- The tap features two connection hoses: one for cold water, one for hot water
- Hot water is supplied at full mains pressure directly from the central system or the instantaneous water heater
Low-pressure system
- Used when no central hot-water supply is available (e.g. retrofits, older buildings, small apartments)
- The boiler is connected only to the cold-water pipe and is not designed for mains pressure
- The tap features three connection hoses: one cold-water supply, one to the boiler (cold-water inlet), and one from the boiler (hot-water outlet).
